Data stays independent
Sponsors and advertisers cannot change source records, influence rankings, alter comparisons or buy a recommendation. Source selection and corrections follow the same methods regardless of commercial support. A placement does not imply endorsement by the atlas or the FRA.
Clear labels
Every paid placement must carry a visible “Sponsored” or “Advertisements” label next to the placement. Sponsorship must identify the sponsor. Labels must remain clear on small screens and cannot be hidden in a tooltip or presented as source attribution.
Where ads may appear
Advertising may appear on public informational pages where it does not obscure the content or controls. Ads must not appear in member tools, saved crossings, reports or report exports. Injury-lawyer ads must not appear alongside incident data.
We do not accept misleading, unlawful, discriminatory or harmful advertising, or claims that imply a paid placement says anything about conditions at a crossing. Placements that conflict with this policy must be removed or blocked.
Consent and privacy
Google AdSense shows ads on some public pages. Google uses cookies and device identifiers to show ads and to measure them. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google asks for your choice first. Elsewhere, ads may be personalized unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or you use Stop sharing for ads on the privacy page. Your choice about Google Analytics does not change ads.
See the privacy policy for data use, how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s ad settings.
Sponsorship payments
Tan Solutions invoices sponsorships directly. Sponsorship and advertising are not sold through Paddle. The Buy Me a Coffee link is a separate tip jar, not a Paddle product, and a tip does not buy editorial influence.
Report a placement
Contact Tan Solutions with the page address, advertiser name and the issue you noticed. Do not click an ad just to report it. We review reports against this policy.
